Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party or just want to surprise your family with some festive goodies, these Halloween recipes are going to bring the sweet side out of your sour patch kids.

1. Witch’s Finger Cookies

Start off your Halloween feast with these Witch’s Finger Cookies that look eerily realistic. They’re as tasty as they are terrifying! These would be fun to serve with a “Witch’s’ Coven” party theme. Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, beat together butter, sugar, egg, and extracts until creamy.
  2. Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  5. Roll dough into finger-shaped cookies.
  6. Press an almond into one end to resemble a fingernail.
  7. Use a knife to make knuckle marks.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. Cool and decorate with red gel around the almond for a bloody effect.

2. Ghostly Meringues

Light, airy, and spooktacular, these Ghostly Meringues are the perfect addition to your Halloween dessert table.

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until stiff peaks form.
  4. Add vanilla extract and beat until combined.
  5. Spoon meringue into a piping bag and pipe ghost shapes onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Use chocolate chips to create eyes.
  7. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until meringues are dry and crisp.
  8. Let cool completely before serving.

4. Pumpkin Patch Brownies (Super Easy)

Brownies are a crowd favorite, and these Pumpkin Patch Brownies bring a festive twist to the classic treat.

  1. Preheat oven and prepare brownie mix with one can pumpkin puree. Do not add any other ingredients listed on the brownie box

  5. Cut into squares and decorate with candy eyes and melted chocolate.
